'George C. Creelman'

Item# T-01
Archive Item
One of several different clones. Selected from L. x imperiale. Preston hybrid 1919. Written on back of photo “In our estimation this is the most magnificent hybrid yet produced from a cross between L. regale and L. sarentiae". The massive, wide flaring flowers are reminiscent of L. auratum. Photo circ. 1927.

Photo inset was labeled 1937 "Creelman True" which would indicate there were some 'Creelman' selections in with the true clone. Photo courtesy of the Bill & Mary Hoffman Collection.
