Growing Tips
Would you like to increase your garden of lilies faster? You can imitate the professional growers, to increase a clonal selection (named variety) faster by vegetative manipulation called "scaling", which happened on this lily bulb because it had been damaged during harvest. Broken bulbs are dumped in a pile outside the packaging room, with soil, roots and snapped off scales during cleaning. These piles are generally scratched over by chickens and turkeys on our farm, but there are always stems that suddenly appear in spring, or in the case of this bulb, are discovered making bulblets over winter just under the surface.

The Instructions for Scaling Lily Bulbs can be found on our website: Scale Bulblets
