In May to June, nothing can replace the lily lover's blast of color from early blooming Asiatics, but their only fault seems to be, “Where's the fragrance?” With a few exceptions, there is no scent evident in pure Asiatic cultivars, so the solution has been, cross standard Asiatic varieties with highly fragrant Easter Lilies for scented early bloomers in the lily clan.
Work has been ongoing in this breeding line for many years with the earliest hybrids being released to the garden market in the 1990's and we have come a long way from the brittle, floppy petals of some early selections. More recent varieties are now on a par with the best pure Asiatics for stamina, beauty and an easy-to-grow nature. Longiflorum-Asiatic (LA) hybrids are the answer to your dreams of early summer fragrance, with fast multiplying and bright colors.
Our 'Heaven Scents' collection consists of three bulbs each of six of our most popular varieties, in a compatible blend of colors. Should a variety in this collection sell out; we reserve the right to substitute with a variety of equal or greater value.
