Oh, what a beauty! We first saw this new lily bulb offered by a cut flower producer and fell in love. Our first flowers were used for a floral design in California and when the pure white, wax-like petals unfurled, we were delighted to see a very neat, crinkled edge, a romantic touch almost lost to the newer lily hybrids. Sweet, typical "oriental" lily scent, nice and spicy, with just an overtone of softness. Nectary center of each flower is lime green and the orange-brown anthers really add contrast. Average height for these first year lily bulbs is 4 feet in our garden, but stems will become taller in succeeding years. Far surpassing 'Casablanca' in grace and beauty (plus it does not need staking), 'Rio Blanca' has captured our hearts. 4 Feet. Late July Flowering.
