Deep rose-red, 9-inch bowl-shaped flowers, have ruby-red speckles and thin white tips. Most lower-growing Oriental lilies were bred for very early bloom, but 'Ruby Empress' was selected for its beautiful flowers and relatively late appearance in the Oriental garden. Flowers face outward and are Botrytis-resistant in more humid climates. Sweet fragrance. 2 to 3 Feet. Mid August.
