B&D Lilies Sneak Preview.

‘Curley Sue’ is one of those “No Bull” lilies. Slated for introduction in the spring of 2012, she is a one of a kind. Shown here with ‘Mo’ this lily was the recipient of the '2010 Pick of the Herd Award'.

‘Mo’ lives the Life of Riley, spending his time eating, sleeping in the shade under a tree, tending to "his" ladies from time to time, and like the legendary ‘Ferdinand’ always is ready to take out time to smell his flowers, and as big as 'Mo' is, if he says a lily is his, who are we to argue! Standing shoulder high to a full grown bull, ‘Curley Sue’ will command nothing but attention in your garden.

We have been watching this hybrid of master breeder Johan Mak for years. These flowers measure upwards of 8 inches or more across. Photo inset of Bob’s hand next to a bud will help you to visualize their size.

‘Curley Sue’ is a July bloomer in the garden and easily tops 4 feet once settled in. Slated for spring 2012 introduction, now is the time to “moooove” some plants out of the way to make room for this 'Baron of Beef' of the lily world.

Bulb Size - Our standard for bulbs of this Oriental Hybrid Lily Bulb cultivar ranges from Premium-size» (16/18 cm) to Exhibition-size» (over 20 cm). Click here for details.
