Here is a fun new Double Flowered Oriental. Coming out of the “Rose Flowered” series in Holland and introduced in the spring of 2010, fall 2010 will see the first US produced crop of this lily.

As the grower provided photo shows, (this photo will be updated in July with our field bloom) this is a rather full double and shows a great deal of advancement over earlier selections from this line. It has been reported as being quite color fast and carries the same fragrance typical of all Oriental Hybrid Lilies. A July bloomer, ‘Distant Drum’ grows to 3 to 4 Feet.

This lily is now also being sold as 'Double Pink Rose' by some companies. As new names continue to pop up on the web marketer sites, we will keep you posted best we can.
