'Arena' is an excellent substitute for those wanting an 'Aurora Borealis' look at a much lower price. Though not quite as colorful as our Johan Mak offering, she is still a great looker in the garden and worthy of a place of honor.
A complete sell out every year, it has taken time to build up numbers again. Tricolor Oriental lilies are rather hard to come by these days and 'Arena' remains a superb example of being the best of the best. These sparkling white flowers have a partial gold stripe which radiates out from the nectary to the end of each petal in a blush of firecracker-red. The crimson speckles are artfully placed to enhance the splendor of this delightfully fragrant lily. Arena also now carries the name 'Garden Party' for bulbs coming out of Holland. 3 to 4 Feet. July Flowering. Sweet Fragrance.
