'Lionheart' - Asiatic Hybrid Lily

'Lionheart' - Asiatic Hybrid LilyFlower Description: Our original planting stock of this one-of-a-kind lily came out of Holland as 'Yellow Hornet'. Now known as 'Lionheart', both names are befitting.

What drama! These large flowers start out with very attractive "candle flame" shaped buds that even show a hint of what is to come by the dark color at the base. As the lily unflolds, you notice an almost black center, accented by dark run-together speckles that end with bright, lemon yellow tips. Nothing else like this beauty in the world of lilies. The stems are sturdy and the flowers lasted over a month during our cool summer in 2011. 3 to 4 feet, maybe taller under ideal conditions. June Flowering. Unscented.
