'Private Harvest™ Copper King Strain' (Lilium)

Lily Bulb - 'Private Harvest™ Copper King Strain'Classification: Trumpet/Aurelian Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 5-10, colder climates w/winter mulch)

Lily Bulb #L-6200ph - Harvested late in December, these lily bulbs were left in the propagation field an extra year or two to achieve massive bulb size. As weather permits, these remaining lilies are gently removed and carefully graded for size. Trumpet lilies that are at least 28 cm in circumference are set aside and weighed. If they are over one pound (16 oz. or greater), they make our top grade of Private Harvestª and are hand layered into crates for storage. Tucked inside a climate-controlled cooler, they await spring shipping with our regular sized bulbs in late March/early April.

The strong color and great fragrance of these stunning lilies will rule over lesser garden subjects. The blooms open an orange-apricot shade and each petal reverse is crowned with dark, coppery-red veining. 'Copper King' lilies are grown from seed, so tint, form, and height vary. 5 to 6 feet. July.

LIMITED SUPPLY.

Bulb Size - Private Harvestª size bulbs (over 28 cm in circumference). These are HUGE bulbs, weighing over one pound each. The cost reflects our extra growing, packaging and delivery costs.
