Gladiolus - 'White Prosperity’-- Bags of 10 -- Order number of bags desired
Flower Description: Pure white with just a tiny hint of red accent, not noticeable from a distance and perfect for the moon garden, combining with ‘Casablanca’ lilies or to help set off brighter colors in the landscape. Bulbs are Jumbo sized. 3 to 4 Feet. 85 to 110 days to bloom, depending on weather and planting time.
Descriptions indicate general color and the average height of each cultivar, plus the average number of days from planting to bloom. Bear in mind that areas with cool springs or late frost will take longer to bloom, but short spring and hot summers will shorten the number of days, so we suggest only planting two or three groups, two weeks apart, to gauge the time it takes Glads to bloom in your unique micro-climate. Size of corm (bulb) varies, depending on cultivar but are at least graded “large” size 12/14 (#1), for a good show in your garden this summer.
Wild Lily bulbs making up the genus Lilium belong to the family Liliaceae comprising of approximately 200 genera made up of approximately 2,000 lily species. There are in the neighborhood of 110 to 120 Lilium species depending on whose classification you reference. For the full article, click Knowledge Base
